This may be a really noob response, because I’m not expert. My posts on this forum make that evident…
But are you sure there isn’t something hidden? Something above the track?
Have you actually rendered it out? Glitch, maybe? This sounds familiar with something I did a while back. Like I said, I’m a noob…
Wait, have you actually confirmed that it’s linked to the denoiser effect? 😛

February 12, 2015 at 12:55 am in reply to: De-interlaced Video still looks interlaced? (Worse than the source!?)Wow, John…
I have been a monumental idiot! For some reason, I had it in my head that because I was de-interlacing, I needed to set the media to “progressive” because I thought it was then supposed to be “progressive” after it was de-interlaced…
Everything works fine, now that I’m not messing with anything… I really, truly cannot thank you enough, John!!
Thank you so much! I’m glad that I’ve finally gotten this issue fixed! 😀

February 8, 2015 at 3:35 am in reply to: De-interlaced Video still looks interlaced? (Worse than the source!?)Shoot, I just realized! You won’t have to wait long… Here’s another render… Actually, these were the two videos that were compared in my original thread quite a few months ago…
Here was the source file. S-Video from the Dazzle. Just a random clip from GTA V.
The above video looks alright. The quality isn’t great by any stretch of the imagination. But there’s no real interlacing or anything. As far as that goes, it looks OK. I know the limitations of S-Video, which is… 480i? I mean, there’s only so much you can do.
Now here was the render. It looks alright if set to the 1080p upscale I did. But when the playable character is running, or shooting, interlacing is apparent… Actually, I just realized something… I believe that back then, I had the thing at NTSC Progressive Widescreen… I wonder… Could that have de-interlaced as I was recording it!? This is just hitting me now! But can “de-interlacing” an already de-interlaced video… Make it LOOK interlaced? Anyway, here was that render that looked screwed up.

February 8, 2015 at 3:21 am in reply to: De-interlaced Video still looks interlaced? (Worse than the source!?)Here’s what my properties in Vegas 13 look like…
These are the main project properties…
And then here are the properties in the media within the timeline. As in, right click, “properties”.
And
Now… I’ve messed around with these… Originally, when I had set the project properties to match the media, it has the fields set to “upper field first”. I did try to render like that, but it never helped the problem…
And here were the videos from the current project that I was trying to do. This video was the source video put directly onto youtube. Doesn’t look all the interlacey. The quality just isn’t great.
And then here were two render tests I did. I messed with settings, but nothing helped.
And…

October 19, 2014 at 7:58 am in reply to: De-interlaced Video still looks interlaced? (Worse than the source!?)… Also, I don’t know why the render test in the link didn’t embed like the source file video did, but hopefully that’s sufficient. Actually…

Yeah, so this is the render test one… Just to have the two embedded for an instant visual. Again, on both videos, be sure to look around 40 seconds in for the lines, which is present in THIS video, but no the original.

August 27, 2014 at 12:08 am in reply to: Sony Vegas 13 Is Automatically “Brightening” My Videos?Alright, I figured it out, so I think it’s definitely worth reporting back here…
This is more for anyone who, by chance, happens upon this forum post in need of a solution for the problem I showed in the above screenshots.
The simplest way I’ve found, to fix that oddity with the messed up aspect ratio is…
When you pick Render As, pick your format. I’m using WMV. You will come across a bunch of different presets. 512kbps, up to like, 8 mbps. Pick whatever bitrate you want, though for youtube, it will be heavily compressed, so unless you want a better copy for yourself, go ahead and choose maybe 6, or something like it. I still opted for 8Mbps, for my own tastes.
Then, customize it. Right underneath. A new window opens.
There’s an audio and video tab, etc. Under Video, next to resolution, you will see “Pixel Aspect Ratio”. My 720p presets were set to 1.000 (Square). However, another had it set to 1.333 (HD). If you are experiencing the jacked up aspect ratio I was, simply change that to “1.000 (Square)”.
Hope that helped someone out there. 😛

I see, that does make sense. Again, thank you so much for your continued patience!

August 26, 2014 at 9:23 pm in reply to: Sony Vegas 13 Is Automatically “Brightening” My Videos?OK, I know I’m being difficult. But having an 8-core processor really speeds these things up!
I rendered at 720p, or 1280×720, to be more specific. To my knowledge, that is the “true” ratio/resolution of 720p 16:9 video, I would think?
That is the resolution that I recorded in on the main rear camera. Problem is, I wanted to upscale to 1080p Youtube basically limits bitrate according to resolution, so if I upscale a 720p video to 1080p, it actually matches closely to original bitrate and will just look batter overall. But it’s being difficult and not wanting to render in 1080p. Instead, I get those oddities as shown above…
Unless I’m not using the “true” 16:9 1080p resolution, as I did with the 720p above… This is all confusing me. I’ll try to get this ironed out, but if you do read this Graham, a little guidance would be much appreciated! Thank you for all your help so far!

August 26, 2014 at 9:06 pm in reply to: Sony Vegas 13 Is Automatically “Brightening” My Videos?Yes! It worked!! Thank you!
Except… I’ve run into a new problem…
But I think I can snapshot it and show you.
In this snapshot of Vegas’ preview, everything looks fine. Just how I’d like the render to look.
Uh… Did I mention I was using Vegas Pro 13?
But here, after the render, I get this mess.
I changed some audio settings, and I changed the pixels/resolution to 1920×1080, from 1440×1080… I guess maybe it’s using the pixels as aspect ratio? Maybe I answered my own question… Hm…
Is there any way to “override” this from happening, and to render ONLY what I see in the preview window? Grr… This is kind of frustrating. 😛
