Just a thought…was the background lit with different lights than the subject. Sometimes Kinos look a bit pinkish compared to straight tungsten lights.

PS—

Most of Ray’s work was done single camera. NO lighting! At least none for the 2 projects I worked on. Not feasible and people are aware of the lights. We shot everything at +9 db. Even daylight stuff.

Bob,

I had the great pleasure of working on 2 of Ray’s projects. One was for “America’s Most Wanted” back in 2003. We found real people, put mics on them and backed the camera off. Usually shooting ‘through’ something for the foreground. Ray would give them a topic and then join the camera to listen on headphones. Amazing stuff. These people almost ‘volunteered’ to talk on camera. A lot had to do with ray’s personality. Hardly anyone ever turned him down. We got bites from people at a farmer’s market, coffee shops, while shopping for a new car…..

One of the most interesting techniques I have ever seen. Hoping to talk more clients into do ing it. Just haven’t had much luck!

Ernie… It should not make a difference I know several people that bought their camera last year (got mine in March) and still got the guide.

Maybe try again, or make a call to your dealer for help.

But, since i have 3 BetaSP packages, i hate renting gear and possibly having one of my cams sitting around. There are no rental houses in BR. However, it is a small community and we do trade outs with some of the other owners.

One format would make life a lot easier. The Sony D-600 was probably one of the biggest money-makers for freelancers ever.

so, where are the best deals? i will probably have to pull the trigger now with the price break.

i have had requests this week, for 5 different cameras!! BetaSP, Digi-Beta, Varicam, SDX-900 and the sony HDV. I sure wish everyone would get together and decide on 1.

sorry if i ask a few obvious question, i’m a new guy to the site…
