Sorry for the delay. Holidays, etc.

As I mentioned, I’m very new at all this so probably don’t have the best perspective. I’ve only done 2 projects since I got it – fairly basic probably as projects go for you guys.

But I will say, I LOVE IT. It’s amazing how fast it is compared to the machine I use to use (Dell Inspiron P4). A 45 minute video that use to take 3 hours to render takes 55 minutes now (I’m very early on special effects, etc.) – AVI or MPEG2.

And I have not had any problems with the final render – no freezing or missed frames or off sound, etc. I use to have quiet a few problems before.

Hope this helps. Like I said, I’m really a beginner but was getting tired of being frustrated all the time. I’m not now…

Ken, this doesn’t look pretty because I just cut and pasted it from my work order. But I think you should be able to figure out the main items. Like I said, I don’t know if it’s the best, but Russell at Tastycomputers and Gary sure seem say this is a great platform.

I just bought a system through the outfit Gary recommended – very similar to Gary’s (a few more pariferals since I’m new and don’t have a lot of the attachments he does).

The salesman he recommended was OUTSTANDING – helped me a lot. I can send you the build I got which is basically the same core as Gary’s with a hard drive, etc.

I obviously don’t have the system in so can’t comment on its performance yet, but from what the salesman (and Gary) indicate, Gary is very happy with it.
