So you’re saying that any DVD played on a mac computer that shipped from a mac store is played back with the wrong default gamma setting?
That seems like a glaring oversight. Are you sure about this?
I had read on another forum that DVD Player plays media at the gamma at which it was created. If this was true, then there is some level of metadata thats triggering DVD Player.
Any thoughts?

Unnesting 1000 sequences one by one is not a practical solution. I’m looking for a way to unnest/trim all of them at the same time.

Yes. Do a google to brush up, but you’ll be rendering in max with .RTF? RF?, something like that. It has embedded camera data which AE knows how to read. Sorry for the rusty explanation, but it works, which should at least reassure you.

Just to clarify, the truth is 2 of the 4 cameras were shot on HDV while the other 2 were shot on DV. I omitted this to keep the problem simple, and while this extra information could be ignored, if someone has an alternate workflow or workaround that takes this into account, thats even better.
