Thank you for the info. I have a movie I’m shooting in FILM REC mode and I’m getting some noisy shadow areas – especially when the shadows read as “gray” due to the low contrast of the FILM REC mode. I’ve been told I can run the footage through the Gamma Corrector and resolve some of these issues. I am going to do a final color correct on a Davinci 2K, so I’m just trying to figure out if I “need” to use the Gamma Corrector or if the final correct will do the trick. Any suggestions? I also am in Texas and don’t know of a post-house here that has the Gamma Corrector.
