Great…….I have done the same thing with good results as well. What resolution and codec is your “projected source file” just curious. Use your projectors to blend the images and you should be good to go.

You may also want to look at QLAB, it will “spread your content” over multiple outputs on the same MAC. Look at custom animation settings. Very powerful software it take some time to learn it, but should do the trick!

July 18, 2010 at 5:20 pm in reply to: Video looks great on MacBookPro.. horrible when projectedMake sure your “display output” is set to the projector “native” resolution of 1024 x 768. You use Apple “monitor calibration” on your display properties. Hope this helps.

Well you are correct indeed on the tape. Boot up Windows with Apple Boot Camp and use vtq list. I use a USB to 422 adapter and it works great. Best running Windows computer I have ever had is My Mac Book Pro. Here is the source of that USB to 422 cable.https://www.addenda.com/addenda-elect/products/rsUSB4.php‘> https://www.addenda.com/addenda-elect/products/rsUSB4.php

I would look at DTVideolabs.com PlayBackPro (MAC ONLY) software, sounds like just what you need. Demo the program sometime.

Dataton would work just fine, pricy but would work. Now who is using tape decks these days?? With Turbos and DoReMi why would you use a deck. Also playback pro software for mac will playback any file that QT will play. You can sync multi Mac for sync rolls. Apple QT for windows and Mac will playback video just fine also. I have had and paid for VTQ list, great tool indeed. But it’s tim e to move on from tape playback these days IMHO.

Hello I just ran across this post so my 2 cents worth.
Vista is a great system and can be done at a “cost” efficient with the right “company” doing the work.
Playback Pro a good choice and cost efficient also, I own the PBP product and would be happy to talk about a quote for you. I have 20 years in the AV Staging business as a tape operator and setting up large venue projection.
If you are doing HD Playback work Mac Towers is the way to go. SD laptops can work just fine.
Good day to all.
