Thank You! II found the problem. All 3 of my computers have 4 USB plugs. I was using the far left one on each of them. on a whim, i decided to use the far right one and it worked. The sound was automatically better. I tried this on the other computers as well and it was the same result. I don’t know what is up with the far left USB slot, but it seems to be the problem. I wonder if this could be the problem for some of the others. I would never had thought so, but I knew at one point that it worked fine and then after thinking about it, I thought that maybe I had used the other slot before. I hope this helps others. Thank You!

I have a USB mic that I got from Monoprice. I set it up to record in Premier and Camtasia. The recording was really great. A month later, I had to reload my computer. After setting everything up, I used the mic and the sound was very low. I’ve gone through every windows setting that I can think of and it doesn’t improve my sound. Recording sound is set to 100. have tried two other USB mics with the same issue. I have also tried the mics on another computer. No good bueno. Any ideas? The mic sounded great right before I had to reload my computer (due to a virus). Thank You!
