Good idea! But I know what you mean – would love to take the Canon out on the canoe itself!

Thanks Jim! My, you are busy…

Well, I don’t have a car (living in NYC now for the past 7 years and loving non-car life, as a California ex-pat), or a plane… But a waterproof case for the HF10 – now that would be interesting… I was raised in Hawaii and still like to go back there. Let us know when you make something like that!

    All the best!

    Hey Jim,

I just got the thing myself- love it so far, at least for my purposes. I was wondering, though, have you dumped some clips into some kind of NLE yet? I did some Log and Capture with it into Final Cut 6.0.1, and it all seemed to work quite easily. Except for some horizontal “stretching”. I know it”s user error, but I just haven’t been able to figure this one out yet.

    Hi there,

I also just got an HF10, and have FC Studio 2 (FC 6.0.1). It definitely worked as advertised, seemed pretty simple to connect, Log and Capture, etc…. but I’m trying to figure out why my clips are a bit stretched horizontally. Been poking around different settings and preferences, but to no avail as of yet. I know it’s gotta be something really dumb, and usually I can find those things.

Thanks for you help in advance!
