I still have my Hi8 camera, but when I play the tape back. It jumps frames and there are lines on the picture. I took it to get the heads cleaned and it worked for about 15 minutes, then it went back to being messed up. I think I do remember that VHS looking thing you can put Hi8/Mini DV tapes in. If anyone remembers that, please let a brother know.. Thank you!

I think that is the best option. Do you recommend a good DVD burner that hooks up to my VCR? I also have a bunch of Hi8 tapes i need to digitize. How should I go about this? thoughts?

I am starting a business of corporate videos and family videos. Is it hard to put an E-Sata drive in? Are there manuals for this? How many extra gigs will an E-Sata drive get me?

Thank you for all your help. I’m trying to start my own business on the side and you have helped me out tremendously!! I think I’ll go with the AJA Kona LH. You said I can still convert HD footage with it? I will also need a small Raid or a couple TB’s. Any suggestions?
