It is a good idea to have the lit background a good distance from your subject to avoid light bouncing onto their face.
I’ve always tried to do it in low light, to make sure there is more contrast in the scene and to avoid opening up the iris to show details in the dark parts of the picture. -
Contact the local promoter putting on the show.
You may try contacting the stadium management person that puts together the contracts they have with the tour to find out who that company might be. -

February 27, 2008 at 6:30 pm in reply to: Really Bizzare Interlacing Issues FCP 6 (with pics)I’ve had a lot of luck in changing the Motion FIltering Quality settings from Normal or Best to Faster (Linear) to take care of problems I get with fine lines or HD to SD resizing issues. This can be changes in “Sequence Settings” under the video processing tab.

I had a similar post to this one a few weeks back when I went from 3 Gigs of memory to 11 Gigs in my Intel Xeon 2-dual 2.4 machine.
I was very surprised to see that the program wasn’t using much more memory at all, although I did see a slight speed increase.
Someone finally explained that that since the program is 32 bit, it will never address more than 3 Gigs of memory at all.

The settings for Apple Firewire NTSC (720×480) are for standard definition DV. You’ll need to set the easy setup for HDV for it to work (assuming the project was edited in HDV).

I agree. It’s difficult for me to want to go to the Apple Retail Store to ask questions of their sales guy who uses Final Cut Pro, when he is a student in a class I was a guest in recently, and he was asking my advice.

The lighting can make a huge difference in selling the key.
I make a commercial using background photos we bought from istockphoto.com.
The lighting was set up to mimic each photo before we recorded the actors in position.
Basically, this was done with 1 chair in a large room in my chiropractor’s office.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wAdkm6urRPQ
The video was shot in HDV. FCP was the only program I was able to pull a clean key with the original HDV footage. I tried Shake as well as the Leylight in After Effects, but the HDV MPEG artifacts made it look bad. But I later added some more shots captured with DVCPRO-HD and used shake for 2 shots.
