oh boy! looked into the decoders and additional hardware required, it certainly is expensive. We are working with the audio guys to figure this out, possibly have the screening at the audio studio.
Again thanking everyone for the advice.

I guess another “dirty” way of doing this could be just using the optical out of my 8-Core and use my harman / kardon AVR 445 Receiver.
I did some test setting up some soround sounds in Sound Track pro and monitoring using the optical out, seems to work fine (again I’m not a sound guy). I supose i should just do a mix down and import this to fcp 2 and see what happen??

The plan was to monitor direct from kona 3 card, so that there is no sync issues. As I mention the TASCAM 1884 does have the ability to monitor 5.1 but the sound sync is an issue, since we monitoring the video from the kona with the Panasonic BT-LH1700W. Unless there is a way that i can use the frameoffset in the FCP2 (system setting), doing this is a bit scary.

Again thank you for the advice, we will look into some of the suggeations.

The important part was being able to import data from PFtrack and cinema 4D. I have footage with camera dolly and wanted to translate the camera data to the text in motion. And then applying a filter effect only to the text triggered by audio behaviour. Again great ino.
    Thanks
