I would also like to know if the color effects works. But the whole thing together is what I need. And the ending, where the logo enters the screen, does it enter too late (some frames)?

  • Hi!

Thanks for the tip. Unfortunately it didnt make the flickering go away. Infact, right now, no matter what I do…it does flicker when moving videoclips pass the screen. As long as the video is standing at the same position, everything is fine.

Can this have anything to do with Interlacing, or something else?

I figured out the problem and it turns out AE on MAC doesn’t support this option.

Is there a shematic or a instruction on what this RX/TX swapped cable looks like? Which pair is TX and RX?

Does this explain that I’m unable to remote DigiBETA and DVCAM players with the DeckLink card as well?

Yup. VTR Emulation enabled, Serial Port configured. Everything seems to be okay.

I cant seem to make them work together: no matter which preset i choose in avid, nothing seems to change. Nothing happens. Same problems goes for connecting to DigiBETA or DVCAM player.

    Hi!

I have an old Avid Media Composer 9000 (on Mac OS9) and I have a Apple G4 with BlackMagic DeckLink (SDI). I want to use Black Magic Deck Control (the software) to grab things from timeline in the Media Composer. The reason for this is that I use Autodesk Media Cleaner to create moviefiles for web on the Apple with DeckLink.

    Any chance this is possible?

As for now, I crash in, which is a problem when you’re alone in studio (some distance between the machines).
