    I just had the same.

    It finally worked by exporting the XML from FCP 7
    – copy it to another mac running FCP 6
    – opening the XML there
    – exporting it again (to xml4)
    – copy it back to the mac running Premiere Pro 4.01.

    The only thing is I had to relink all the (Red) footage, which takes a lot of time, is there a workaround for this ?
