You are KIDDING me!
So all I need to do is bring it down to 2K and that’s it?
I could hang myself by my nose hair.
I will let you know how it goes, thanks so much -
Well, the footage is QT with the Apple prorez compressor 24P
the timeline is 24P at the full frame 4K size. -
Hi Arnie,
FCP 7.0.1
QT7
OSX 10.6.2
SAS Raid 8tb (MAXX)
Kona 3Although the audio plays perfectly on time, the video goes faster, and then somewhere near the end of the timeline it seems to magically match back.
It is frustrating, as I have a project due today and can’t finish it.Cheers

January 21, 2010 at 1:49 pm in reply to: RED FCP7 Capture on MAC PRO with Blackmagic Decklink ExtremeHello All,
Thank you very much for your advice. I did try everything. I got strange results on some, and no results on others. I did manage to recover some of the footage late at night last night.
The drive finally mounted on a Sony Vaio using Vista. It didn’t work on Windows 7, nothing really does anyway. It didn’t work on anything prior to Vista either. My daughter came home and as an act of separation, I tried her beat up Vaio. It mounted after a 2 minute wait… the indicator light is what gave me hope.
Some files copied, some files didn’t. The drive would disappear whenever a bad block appeared. Then I would pray that it would mount again.
So I have recovered enough to finish the production, thankfully.
Thank you everyone. You all kept me sane in these troubled moments.Cheers,

January 20, 2010 at 7:35 pm in reply to: RED FCP7 Capture on MAC PRO with Blackmagic Decklink ExtremeI have tried all output options from the RED.
Input using the HDSDI in to the Decklink extreme… far right of the three connectors at the back of the computer. -

January 20, 2010 at 5:26 pm in reply to: RED FCP7 Capture on MAC PRO with Blackmagic Decklink ExtremeDear Shane,
I do yes, but the 640GB drive we recorded to is not being seen on any machine, PC or MAC.
The footage plays back fine through the camera.
We need to get the footage off and this is the only way I could think of.
Any other ideas? Also, I called BlackMagic and they had no real solution.
Any suggestions would so be appreciated.
Thanks

January 20, 2010 at 5:21 pm in reply to: RED FCP7 Capture on MAC PRO with Blackmagic Decklink ExtremeAn update for you, I see signal on the broadcast monitor with the signal going through the card in the mac, but FCP says “No Input Signal”
How can that be?
Does anyone have a workaround?
