Hi John, Thanks for the quick reply. I was now rendering it again with blend fields as deinterlaced method. So blend fields is for converting intelaced to progessive only? Because Ive been doing a lot of dvd and I always use None as deinterlaced method, this the first time I would like to try making a progressive DVD.

With regards to authoring, Im using DVD Architect Pro 6. I can only find 24p when making a blueray disc but not on DVD. I can only see it in New Project Properties. Where is asking if its menu based….. Disc Format…..Project video format….and project audio format. Is there any other settings where I can change the project video format? Do I have to use Blue-ray Disc as a disc format and burn it as a DVD. Will the dvd players recognized this if I burn a DVD in a blue-ray burner?

    to sum up

    Video Source: AVCHD 1920 x 1080 60i 29.970 fps…is this OK?

    Vegas project properties are
    HD 1080 24P (1920×1080, 23.976 fps
    pixel format: 8 bit
    deinterlace method: BLend Fields
    Rendering Properties are

DVD Architect 24p NTSC widescreen video stream

Sorry for all this questions. I have been doing my family videos for yes but my video cam was a panasonic 3ccd DV Tape 4:3 and importing it in Vegas (I been using vegas 7 since 2008 now its Vegas Pro 12 64bit) its DV video. its just now that I editing and authoring from a diff source (AVCHD 1920 x 1080 60i 29.970 fps) I aslo check the setting for my sony HDR CX240, there is no 24P on its video resolution choices only 60i and 60P. Do I have to set it on 60P to make a progressive DVD?

    Thank you So much.

Hi John, I have been doing a lot of DVd with Vegas and DVD architect but this time I would like to make a progressive DVD and I followed your instructions to make the project properties in Vegas to be 24P widescreen (HD 1080-24p (1920×1080, 23.976 fps) and render it with 24p widescreen. But after I import the file to Architect, its still is showing Progressive: NO

Pls help me if what I did wrong.

My source is from a sony HD Cam
    Video: AVCHD 1920 x 1080 60i 29.970 fps

    Vegas project properties are
HD 1080 24P (1920×1080, 23.976 fps—- is this the right format?
    pixel format: 8 bit
    deinterlace method: none

    Rendering Properties are
DVD Architect 24p NTSC widescreen video stream

    Am I doing this right?

I check the video cam if I can set it up to record 24P NTSC but the only choices are 60i and 60p

Can I do a progressive dvd from this source

I also compared the video between with DVD Architect widescreen video stream 29fps and 24fps, its seems that 24p is jittery on the edges of the subjects in the video specially the one that are moving.

And also on DVD architect project properties there is no choice to make it progressive or not. is this automatically detected by DVD architect if you are using the right video format?

    Please HELP

    Thank you
