Hey Steve,
Yes I tried importing the .veg file as a media but when I click the project, vegas freezes and I am forced to close the program.
But, I just installed the newest build of Vegas Pro 11 (Build 683) and now my project loaded to 62% and would not go any further while I waited.
I read on other forums that the problem might be with Quicktime files and the “FileIOSurrogate.exe” from Vegas pro, because I do have a lot of Quicktime (.mov) files in my project while I was editing because I was doing my effects in Adobe After Effects and exporting them out as .mov files and importing them back into Vegas. But this cant be the reason why its not loading because while I was waiting to see if Vegas would load my project past 62%, I checked my processes and “FileIOSurrogate.exe” was not running in the background.
Also like I said, I was working with a lot of .mov files in the project before this problem came up. So why now would it stall loading?
I have also read on other forums that the FileIOSurrogate.exe needs to be closed BEFORE trying to load a vegas pro project, because Vegas pro needs to connect to that executable while opening, but it doesn’t even appear in my process list as I am opening the project. So could the problem be that Vegas is trying to connect to “FileIOSurrogate” but can’t, thus the project not opening?
I know this is extremely technical, and I don’t completely understand it myself, but like any other person I am researching online and constantly reading to see if anybody had the same problem as I do and found solutions.
I hope I am providing enough information for this problem. Thank you.
