I realize this is reply very much after the date, but this is when I finally got around to facing this project again.

I am capturing via firewire, using my camera as the player.
Nothing is indicating dropped frames.
I defraged my drive and have more than enough space for the DV.
I may be lying on the Vista but I was just 80% sure that the Dell guy said that’s what’s on it…how do I find out for sure?

I can’t even get the video to play in the preview, only play in the capture window where the audio is doing the weird delay then fast/high-pitched thing. I noticed that the auido on my camera says “12 bit stereo mix” but the audio options in Vegas are only 8bit or 16bit it seems…could this be the reason for the issue?

It says at the top of the window “9.0” so I don’t know, maybe it’s this “movie studio” and by “Vista 07” I mean that it’s the 2007 home edition of Vista.
