    Thanks again. Yes it does make sense to overcrank in camera…I haven’t got my hands on the camera yet so wondering about all the options.

    Hi Rafael,

    Thanks for the reply. Just as I thought. I haven’t shot on it yet but from the manual it seemed ,perhaps because the SQ options are there, one may manually need to select the frame rate too, for instance 50fps if shooting 720/50p.

    Thanks for the reply.
    The video is going to be played out of a dvd.
    I’m pretty sure the noise is compression artifacts, it appeared only after capturing. I captured directly into a portable 120GB LaCie. Could it be a hardware problem? I must mention I’m not watching it on a broadcast monitor either right now.
