    Hey all,
i have a little problem with that 64bit Version. I got it as a christmas present.
When i want to install Vegas 6.0 i always get the error-message: “Please install Windows .NET Framework 1.1” – well, there is no running .NET Framework 1.1 for the x64bit Version of Windows. I just got the .NET Framework 2.0 x64 Version. Vegas still needs the 1.1 Framework…
My Question: Can i run Vegas on the 64bit Version of Windows, without installing the 1.1 .NET Framework?
    i got the .NET Framework V2.0 (x64), like i said…
    thanks
    Lukas R.

    hey mike,
    thanks for your fast answer.
maybe it’s the preview mode.. i am at school right now and i will test it, if i am back at home today.
Maybe it is because of the NTSC format?! Because i leave in germany, and PAL is european standard. well, i rendered the whole video in with PAL. but there was no change. It looked same with the NTSC-Video.

    Hey,
i rendered a short szene of the video. i hope you can see the “curves”
you can download it @ https://www.lukas.fishhome.de/
I also added some pictures from my custom preferences of the mpeg-2 codec. i didnt include the audio for the short szene..
Also the video can bacome bigger. i can burn it to an 8GB DVD. Maybe i can set the quality higher? but i guess it’s almost the best…
well, download the video and watch it pls. Also see the pictures from my custom preferences.
    Thanks
    Lukas R.

    Hello,
well, thanks for your big help!
I finished my video and i have rendered it in mpeg-2 codec. the sound seperately (dolby digital, ac3).
i have to say… the quality is a bit strange. i don’t know how to explain. if you watch the movie in PREVIEW mode – DVDA, all borders from persons are… like curves.
i could upload you a piece of the video if you want to see that. with winamp the quality was quite good.
    sincerely

    Hi,
okay i installed DVDA and i could render the movie with MPEG-2 Format and format 720×480
Please tell me right now all proberties:
what do i have to choose, or shall i let it all costum?
(you have to know that the video i want to render is a 35-40 minute video)
    I-frames:
    Profile:
    Field order:
    ASpect Ratio:
    B-Frames:
    Level:
and variable bitrate: shall i make it like you’ve said in your newsletteR?
    (max: 8.000 average: 6.000 and min 2.000)?

and what is the difference between mpeg-2 and ac-3 ?

    Thanks a lot Mister Troxel,
i try to read your Newsletter right now.
My Vegas 6.0 says, that mpeg-2 has an disintegration from 352×240 – is that correct for DVD?
Well and another problem is: how to get that plug-in (mpeg-2)?
Do i have to register it online?
