Drag from the plugins folder from one version into the plugins version of the new version. Done and done without much fuss; reports are that most plugins work just fine.

While the FAQ mentions that it’s the final major release, I don’t know if it’s definitively EOL as I’m sure there may be maintenance updates like Adobe has promised for CS6, at least for a while longer.
Time for a feature request to roll Encore features into a Premiere panel.
They ought to make it a separate download from Premiere CS6 – that is a bit of a pain in the ass.

Chances are they had a release client build a few weeks ago and the patch is more recent. On the CC service I can see why they decided not to totally rebuild the applications for launch.

Do not install K-lite or any of these internet based codec packs. You are asking for trouble.
Uninstall them all, uninstall Quicktime, and uninstall Premiere. Use the CS Cleaner tool from Adobe as well to clean out completely.
Install Quicktime and then reinstall Premiere Pro. That should get you to a point where your system is clean enough to work.

The file created time stamp is created by your computer’s file system which means it has the possibility to change when transferring files online, between hard drives, between systems, and so on.
Your best bet is, if the file type you choose can handle it (h.264 means nothing in this instance) then you can use a metadata tag to add a date (You can use Premiere, Bridge, or other tools). These are not lockable fields usually.

I truly wonder how useful this tool is for productions when Arri provides a cross-platform metadata extractor with commandline tools https://www.arri.com/camera/digital_cameras/tools/arri_meta_extract.html
How is this tool better? And the things that make it better, how would they factor into a real world workflow?

Here is the preset from CS6 with notes on what I would alter:
Format: H264
Filter tab: everything off
Video tab:
1920×1080
match source FPS
progressive scan/no fields
square pixels
TV Standard doesn’t matter (it just tries to override your frame rates)
High Profile
Level 4VBR 2 Pass (2 pass will gain you a good amount of quality over 1 pass but will be slower)
Target 8mbps
Max…. I like giving it an extra 30%, so 12mbpsKeyframe distance to match framerate (24 in this instance) or a distance of 12 if there is a lot of motion
Audio tab:
AAC
48000Hz
Stereo
High quality
320kbpsMultiplexer tab:
MP4
Standard
—–If you still find you’re getting some softness then take your timeline and nest it in another timeline then apply an overall sharpening filter until you just start to see the effects at 100% zoom. This should keep things crisp as it gets reencoded by YouTube.

There is a preset for Youtbe called “YouTube HD 1080p 23.97”, select it and then tweak your bitrate settings.
If you scroll down in the settings window, the last possible option is keyframe distance. You may not have noticed there is more to this panel.

Base your export off the “YouTube HD 1080p 23.97”
You’ll want to be using High Profile, and the lowest allowable level possible (4.0, I think in this case). High profile allows for some very small compression optimizations, and level is a rating of computing power to decode a video so there is no advantage to artificially setting it high.
Since you’re using a little higher max bitrate, I would scroll down and set your keyframe distance to match your framerate, 24 for instance.
Beyond that, you shouldn’t see drastic color shifts. Granted you may see some variability because you’re now viewing the video in different software once it’s on YouTube.
