Im having the same problem. Been editing this project for months and today the hell noise appears for no reason. I havent applied any filters, nor is my footage peaking over 100. I tried adding the broadcast safe filter for fun, but it still happens. I also pasting my footage into another sequence and it still makes the noise in the exact part of the clip. The clip itself is totally fine, so Im very puzzled as to why this is happening. Are other people using FCP7 with Snow Leopard?

I am also having the problem with Look Suite crashing my final cut 7. I have just recently done a clean install of snow leopard and final cut 7. My hard drive is totally new and streamlined. I was using look suite and final cut 7 before with no problems at all and now with snow leopard, im getting tonnes of crashes.

This is a very frustrating problem cause I can’t even select the clips to take off look suite before final cut crashes.

If anyone has any idea of what I can do, please let me know. Im nearing completion on a pilot tv show and I would hate this problem to slow down the process.

Hi there. I found this thread via a google search and I am very interested in finding out what the solution was. The problem that you described is identical to the one Im facing right now. I’ve been searching and trying all sorts of things and would love it if you had could share how you were able to overcome this rather frustrating problem.
