Duhhh……I just worked it out…..had to unlock the track on the timeline…..

Another thing….is there any way to easiily find / sort the clips with conform conflicts or that are offline other than scrolling through the timeline and seeing it?

So as I understand I am correct that once you have created a group you must either remove clips from the group or delete the group to turn off the linking behavior….

Hi Laco,

There must be something basic I am missing but I just can’t get it to work right then…..

Here is what i am doing:

1. Select all clips in the timeline.

2. Right click on a clip and choose “Add into a new group”. This creates a linked group of all my clips such that any node or grade applies to every clip.

4. Once my global grade is made I right click on a clip and choose “Default Group” / Load. Now the red outline around all the clips that seems to indicate the ‘group’ behaviour disappears.

5. As soon as I move to another clip, the red outline reappears and every clip seems linked by the group behavior again. The only ways I can get this linking behavior to go away are to either delete the group or remove all clips from the group. Either way the group is essentially gone.

It seems to me that once clips are connected via the “Group” command you need to destroy the group in order to then revert to unlinked behaviour. Is there some step I am missing?

Just to clarify….once I have created a group by right clicking, then any change I make to one clip is automatically added to the others in a group. The only way to then change this linked behaviour seems to be to delete the group – there doesn’t seem to be a way to deactivate the grouping behavior temporarily….is this correct?

Hi Mike,

This will help sometimes but I often have some preset effects such as vignettes that I will want to save and then add and tweak and the best thing will be to have quick access to just that one node to add to a node tree – I can see ways to do this…..just trying to make sure I am not missing out on an easier way than I have figured out from scratch….

Hmmm…..unfortunately I only have the JL Cooper Eclipse…… so there is no way to access this ripple command through the menus or right clicks etc?
