I use it all the time.
For example, say I have an image in the main timeline with some effects and tranformations and I need to extend the edges of the image I can precompose and leave attributes, then in the new comp make the composition larger. This helps for effects that get cut off by edges.
Or if I have a single image layers that has some effects and transformations but I want to add a fog layer or something to the shot but don’t want to lose control of my keyframes and ainimation, you can precomp and leave attibutes then in the new comp add a bunch of layers.
or instances where you may not have effects but that the layer is parented or linked by expressions to other layers in the currect comp, and standard precomposing may break the purposes of these connections.
Anyways… I hope this gives some ideas

start rotoscoping him from the point where he begins to crossover and through the time it takes for him to pass through.
then you can stil frame the backplate and use some distort effects to send him, -
“Need” to. No kidding.

Andra, I like your idea, I will see about it with the powers that be. As for the action movie essentials, They should work great with PAL projects.
The videos are quicktime movies at 800×600, which is more than native PAL resolution, and although the frame rate is 30, playing them back at 25 doesn’t change the visuals much.

It means that all the elements are set to 800 width by 600 height, making it great for NTSC & PAL format video production.

Yeah we look alike I’ll agree. The uniform belongs to my brother Jared who was very helpful providing everyone with something to wear.We planned to do more but it got dark real fast.

The DVD took many weeks to complete, and planning for it was happening months prior. I’m glad people are enjoying it so much. A volume 2 DVD might be in the works but that’s many months away…The DVD is back in stock so if you havn’t ordered yet, go check it out.

And BTW the clip wont extend or double in size like “time stretch”. You’ll need to extend the out point on to see that the clip has been slowed.
One note, in the precomp of your shot I would add blank space to the end of that comp. Meaning if your shot is 5 seconds I would make the comp have an extra 5 seconds of black at the end. This will allow you to extend it in your primary comp.
