  • So I just tried installing vegas 9, same issue the nested veg file has a visible quality lost. It makes no sense as this nested file is just 2 seconds of a still image.

    Any other thoughts/suggestions?

    thx 🙂

  • I am currently using vegas 10

Luckily I kept an original copy of my veg file before I went nest crazy.

my original copy was just one veg file stuffed to the teeth in video layers to handle all the effects. when I render the original and the exact same project but using the nested videos the quality is noticeably different (render setting exactly the same of course)

I just tried rendering with a very masic veg file with the nest embedded. I rendered in all the different common formats wmv, avi, mpg 1 2 4, mov. They all have the same problem, as soon as it switches over to the nested version visual quality loss.

I am doing this with a stupidly basic veg. one picture sized 720×480 72dpi in photoshop. First 2 seconds are the image, next 2 seconds are a nested version of the exact same image same position, same setting, same everything. the quality diminishes instantly the second it converts to the nested version.

I was just hoping it was something simple like an anti aliasing setting issue. But I cannot find anything in the programs help pertaining to anti aliasing.

    any other thoughts?

    thx for the response 🙂
