Hi, I have a Sampson UM1, If you set up gain correctly you should go fine, I use it for interviews, weddings, etc.

I have tryed frames from hd video (canon 650) and they are far away from still pictures,
my experience is to have a camera for video and other for pictures, thats why I bought 3 cameras (650) instead of a 1 full frame.

for lenses I use :

tokina 11 – 16 mm 2.8
tamrom 24 – 70 mm 2.8
2 canon 50mm 1.4
nikkor 100 mm 2.8
nikkor 24 mm 2.8
