    Thanks Josh and Jimmylee. Sorry for my late reply. I’ve been busy finishing my master thesis. Now I’m back to work.
    Weird Apple hasn’t thought about this. It seems like there should be a function/preference/setting/something that allows getting rid of the offset.
    Much appreciate your help though. Will try it manually then.

    Hi Paul,

    Thanks, but this is not a decision I have to make… it’s the most common used format, no matter whether FCP likes it or not.
    However, I found the solution. I converted the recorded material to 30fps material (was 20fps) and from there on FCP handled the files correctly.
