    Thanks for the help I was going to match the AE clips to what was in the FCP time but I think asked my question wrong what I meant is are there any codecs AE doesn’t like ie FCP doesnt like avi files

    Make a 3 to 5 second freeze frame of the part of the video you want to use…drop it in motion then double the layer and using the biezer tool garbage matte the person or main object on layer 2 after you cut out your person any video you put above layer 2 will cover up the person garbaged matted any clips you put between layer 1 and 2 will be behind the person garbaged matted. Experiment with differnt color effects textures and motion to get the look you want..good luck

    this wasnt for a paying client and i have none nor have i ever had any clients that needed windows media if i did then the money spent would be justified

    no i understand you can use flip4mac to view windows media and now i understand that you think its essential to have the pro version just to make a simple windows media file but if you roll flip4mac back a couple versions it works so i saved $100 plus bucks thanks for the advice “Don’t let technology get in the way of your creativity!”
