I’ve discovered it, although PPro could be a little clearer.

When the “Effects Controls” tab is active in the Source Monitor, single-clicking an object in the timeline loads that object’s Effects Controls into the Source Monitor. However, when the “Source” tab is active in the Source Monitor, single clicking objects does not show any change in the Source Monitor. The header on the Source Monitor keeps the name of the clip that was previously in the Source Monitor—even though the Effects Control tab has updated to the new clip. (I know this because when I then click on the Effects Controls tab, the tab header correctly displays the new clip name and the controls are correctly those of the new clip.)

Am I the only one that feels like when a user single clicks on an object in the timeline, that the description in the Source Monitor’s source tab should update to the object’s name?

Maybe my system’s the only one experiencing this.

    Mike
