  • That would be great, thanks.
The only other issue I had with this was that captions weren’t refreshing in the preview panel (I was using caption assistant. ) I’m told the fix is to download the latest fixes for Vegas 13. I did that but had trouble uninstalling it. Anyway, I stopped because caption assistant trial ran out and I couldn’t justify the cost if it didn’t do what I wanted. If you could show me the workflow I might revisit the idea. Thanks very much 🙂

So I use Vegas 13 & I see here I will get an offer in September.
However I was planning on using this offer to buy a second Vegas (new) for my laptop. So that’s not possible because this is upgrades only, correct?

Sorry I just saw this. It’s at my workplace, will try when I return.

I agree with the fuzzy MP4 issue, wish I understood your workaround.

  • THank you I understand completely what you mean about their strategies.

For something that seems so easy I’m not sure why I’m having such trouble. I did give up on prism in the end and used a trial of Sorenson Squeeze (my employer will pay for whatever I choose however haven’t found the right program yet). I liked this one and found a ‘limit bitrate to size’ (or something similar) Sorenson ‘help’ told me this was where to do it, but If I chose 50000 it would end up at 53000 or so , so I’d do it again and guess asmaller amount , so 39500 or so.

I think I’ll use your calculation as explained. Thanks for that. I’ve probably held up this ‘suggestions’ thread enough.

Thanks again & to all who’ve replied.

    No, sorry.
I don’t know how to fix that one.

So, with this function, do you choose the whole footage ‘strip’ and then it breaks it down into individual renders depending on the chapter name? (Is chapter the same as region)?
So, it negates the need to do individual renders from one long piece of footage? I do this all the time because I might have 5 episodes on one long piece of footage and at the moment I’m rendering one by one.
I have Vegasaurus but not not VASSt.
So there’s no way to do it in Vegas Pro 13?
    thanks.
