If I read this correctly, it appears you can have any prior version of Vegas to get the upgrade price, regardless if that price is directly from Sony or from reseller.

Am I reading this correctly?

Hello, Allen:

Haven’t got a clue. I haven’t used it yet. I really like Vegas (the version 4 I was using with the PC), but didn’t know whether to splurge on the upgrade to Vegas 8 Pro using Bootcamp or just go with FCP.

I think Bootcamp allows you to boot into the Mac operating system and somehow just click an icon that takes you automatically into the PC operating system. (I sure hope establishing Bootcamp doesn’t mean that I have to reload everything on my hard drive, including the Mac software.
