I had modified also the size of the graphics and then saved the file with a new name. The new file wouldn’t automatically appear in FCP (the Left copy named file will appear automatically).

Just started again with a new edited copy of Left. Changed position of graphics and text and left it named as Left Copy 2. Still the graphics appears in the lower thirds.

HOWEVER, while before I couldn’t change the position within the FCP edit window, now I can. Might be a bug.

Glenn, I will have to ask the sound designers re protools.

    Thanks.

    Thanks Michael.

A direct import of the WAV results in same issue (clip duration just increased by 1 frame, 12:03:09)

I have played around with the Import settings e.g importing at DNxHD 175 X MXF, unchecking/checking “Sample rate convert source sample rate to project sample rate” but problem still persists.

Avid does ask me for Audio Start-Time Options: I import at 23.98

Is it also a problem if files are WAV instead BWF?

It seems that there might be an easy fix by changing a simple setting somewhere but just can’t figure out which one it is.

Actually that is incorrect. I found the solution.

The correct software to download was XDCAM EX Browser for Mac Version 2.5 from the Sony site and also install the card driver. After which it is possible to export the media via the clip browser as MXF files and then import the MXF files into Avid 3.0.1.

Actually, I inserted the SxS cards but cannot import the media into Avid.

    Macbook does read the card.

But when selecting Import XDCAM Proxy in Avid it indicates that no XDCAM volumes are found.

Has this happened to other people?
