Thanks! FILE/ OPEN BIN worked (even tho I’m on a Mac). I tried to “relink” but it was unsuccessful. Still,I can open and play the sequences. Just want to make sure I’m not going to have problems once I start making changes to them.

When I try to drag these new sequences from the bin on my desktop to a bin I created within my Project, I get the following warning:

Mixing progressive source clips in an interlaced project can lead to problems with scrolling titles, digital cut, and video export.

Is this of concern? I’m thinking we might have made a mistake in not setting up my edit partner’s project properly. Mine is set up as a 35mm 4 perf match-back project and his is not. Will this come back to haunt us – and can we alter it at this point?

SOS: Hate to be a dolt, but… we’re trying to transfer a sequence bin from one HD to another. When copying the bin onto the External HD, it becomes a .avb file. When I try to import that into AVID, I get a prompt saying “The file format of SEQS.avb is not supported for import.”

I’m sure it’s an easy fix… anyone?

Thanks so much. Are there any tricks to re-linking to the media when we swap bins? Also, we were warned that if we’ve made any changes to the media (ie: if either of us has made subclips), then we’ll have problems. Have you encountered any?

Thanks Amheus. I was warned that relinking might corrupt the media, but if this isn’t a danger then we should be fine.
