Thanks again for your help. It seems the New Blue FX plugins from version 11 were the problem. It seems to me that Sony (or Madison) should have written a few lines of code in the installer for VP12 to clear any remnants of Vegas 11 before installing VP 12. Anyway for anyone else who encounters this issue, you will need to manually uninstall old New Blue FX filters.

Sony is selling it. on-line for the ends today i believe

Thanks Steve. I did uninstall 11, and re-install 12 but there was no change. I wonder if I am going to have to go registry editing… I hate doing that.
