Okay finally my new GTX 680 4GB Phantom arrived and i did the same test again.

Intel i7 2600 @ 3,4GHz
16Gb Ram
GTX 680 4GB Phantom

2 Min 49 Sec.

2 Min faster than with the Zotak GTX 590 SLI (2x 1,5GB)

I shoot now for 3 days with the c300 and normally the fan´s loudness won´t cause a problem. I agree too You, in a very private, quite location this might cause a problem. The frequency of the fan is so high, I think it will be no problem to filter it out in the end.
But You´re right, the fan is too loud for such a priced product.
