I have tried this strange method since my Sony handycam wasn’t recognized by FCP7. I imported the video files thru iMovie.. then , Go to the folder they’re in and then import them into your FCP bin and they should work.

I attempted changing the aspect through the motion settings, but the expotetd file glitches.
Weird.

To answer previous post, my original intention was for the entire project to be 1280×720. It’s just my vacation video, so it’s for personal viewing. But still… Didn’t realize I’d run into this.
I know what I need to do in the future. My mistake was putting a still image and title first and FCP stuck with those dimensions. I guess.

Never used Compressor before. What am I doing once I get in there? It’s confusing. Can’t find the pixel setting.
