Thanks Noah. I should have mentioned that I have so far used Preference Manager to trash preferences, as well as manually trashed preferences, and the problem persists.

I’ve also discovered that some other problems are occurring as well. Specifically, I can’t skim anymore (can’t get the “Skimming” checkmark in the dropdown or use the keyboard shortcut), and I can’t turn off snapping (through menu or keyboard shortcut).

I’ve seen a few reports of the skimming issue being fixed by toggling the position tool on and off but that doesn’t seem to be doing it in my case. How bizarre!

Any other thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
