ok… sorry Im late to respond,,,
My problem is that what i do is kin of tv news, with 3 cameras, so I must WB on each location, and many times we go with only the cameras.
I’ve been testing and retesting, experimenting pushing buttons, reseting the cameras… and STILL with the 3 cameras RESETED and none of the factory setups changed, nor any option adjusted… as if “new from the box” they STILL give me different colors… this is getting annoying now. anyone out there is having a similar problem? comparing 3 new cameras, shouldn’t they all give me the same colors?

Hi, I have a similar problem. But this time is with the free run function. I want to capture a whole tape without losing the free run time code. When I try to capture with premiere pro 2 I lose the time code because premiere creates his own new tc, but I can see my own FR TC on the capture monitor…
Is there a way to shoot with free run tc and capture without losing that tc?
I know is probably not the best, but is that a good method to keep the sync between to cameras?

Subject: Using User Bits

The subject pretty much says it all: how exactly do you go about using or displaying the User Bits recorded in MiniDV footage in PPro? Or is it even possible? I ask because I’ve got a project coming up shot with 2 DVXs, and I’d really like to get something resembling timecode sync between them. (Using Free Run timecode is possible but difficult; if the camera is shut off or loses power, the free run stops and sync is lost) The User Bit setting, however, lets you record the actaul time of day on each segment shot. It’s not real timecode obviously, but it’s good enough for this case, and the camera maintains the clock while it’s powered down. If anyone knows a way to actaully bring that up in Premiere I’d appreciate it. Thanks
