I have a GH2, I shoot at 24p and it comes into Adobe Premiere at 23.97… my company’s project does not require a strict 24p so it’s not an issue for me… but PERSONALLY i’d be interested to know how to work at 24p, 30p rather than 23.97 etc… if there is a difference in QUALITY?!?

At the bottom of this page https://www.eoshd.com/gh2-patch-vault , it states: “although some editing applications will recognise the footage as 1080i, it is actually 1080p. If you have any problems, use Clipwrap 2 to unwrap the AVCHD wrapper and create normal H.264 files for editing in your app of choice.”

I was lucky enough to get BOTH worlds… a 17″ MacBook Pro and a 17.3″ Dell Precision Mobile Workstation!

They both have their strengths and weaknesses… I use the MacBook Pro for Graphic Designs and the Dell (Adobe Premiere CS5/After effect) for video editing as the FILES from my DSLR are windows native off the Panasonic GH2.

Those files would have to be ENCODED before editing on the Mac… a nightmare!

With my dell I insert the SDHC card and start editing right away!

If your DSLR is a CANON (.mov h264 based) you should be fine with the MACBOOK Pro… the MacBook Pro has a great display and is less bulky and run Mac OS… but I do hear his fan kicking in more often than the dell…

I have a DELL M6600 with Nvidia Quadro 3000M (2gb graphic Ram) and I’m planning on buy intensity product Shuttle USB3… WILL THEY WORK TOGETHER OR JUST A DREAM? Please advise?
