    One other thing i saw was that my timeline was set to DVCpro and that made a 4:3 export regardless of the dimensions of the timeline. When I made it prores it worked the way it was suppose too.

    The “distort” too was also set to 68.75 instead of 33

    Im doing this bc the client wants to put a 4×3 video in a 16×9 box. They dont care about the pillar box. Ya Im not trying to make SD footage HD.

    640×480 are the dimensions.

    Ive been creating dif combo of test files. This is a nightmare.

    When I make the pixel aspect square my QT comes out 4×3 pinched and not 16×9 pinched. Im looking for the 4×3 image to remain 4×3 within a 16×9 box

    Well changing my sequnce to Pro res did fix the problem but now I have to render before I can see anything.

    Blah. I told them not to use the 5D or any DSLR for that matter.

    Why wouldnt it read these files nativly if they are H264 and quicktime is an apple codec. Heck my fcp read them as H264
