Hallo Michael,
Still have the problem but maybe here’s a clue to the problem. I realised I brought into the music bin a couple of tracks to listen too which were OMFI files. Perhaps this has created the problem? I’ve deleted them now, checked the media tool and still no audio on A1 and A2, but perhaps you have a suggestion of what i could do next? Maybe I’m on the wrong track but you mentioned this recently about mixing MFX and OMFI files.

I’ll look again but it didn’t respond that way, so I’ll have another go.
I didn’t lose files from this project. This project is HD. All the files, both pic and sound, are MXF. I can’t understand how all was ok for a week then the sound just disappears!!

I checked reveal file and it tells me nothing about individual files – just an MFX file. I think that the audio is on them as the files are the same size as before.

Well, it appears the MFX files have both video and audio – in the Media Tool Bin, and also the Avid Bin, the info tells me that a file is V1 + A1 and A2, but in the next column headed ‘offline’ the audio files are offline. This has been working fine for the last week and suddenly today this appeared.

Yes they are in the Media Tool but audio is offline! I also have a copy of the MFX files in another drive, but both drive’s files have probably got the sound files on them. When I ask Media Tool to check files on second drive it just can’t see anything. I am completely baffled!!
