    Hi there
Why don’nt you just output the final edit back to tape, plug in the camera directly in to the TV and watch ????? That’s the only way to watch HD on the TV, if you don’nt have blue ray or the HD DVD Burner. Samsung sells one for about 900 dollars!!!!!!hopefully will come down in price by the end of the year.

    I have AMD 64, 3000 With 1 Gig RAM , 2 X 300 Gig serial ATA drives
Sony Vegas 6d with Sony’s HDR-HC1 and it captures and plays back HDV smooth, your computer configuration seems to be a lot faster than mine.
have you tried defragmenting the drive( where the Video is stored )???
has to be your computer, I would also check Vegas preferences—video— playback options and trying switching from best to Auto and see if it makes any difference.

    It does not !!
I have been using premiere pro 1.5 for years and recently bought Vegas 6
I bought Sony’s HC1 HDV camera and tried Vegas 6 trial did not capture Mpeg2( HDV ). full version does, and believe it or not It does a lot better Job than even premiere pro.
    renders lot faster
the output is lot better.etc etc .
Although even with the full version it’s little tricky to set up your HDV camera to be recognised by the software in order to capture.
if you need help with that drop me an e-mail.
