    Hi,

We are working hard on the new Ki Pro v3.0 firmware, which has obviously taken longer than we initially expected. This is a very significant release with tons of new features and performance tweaks. At IBC we announced it would release last month, but our policy at AJA is to not release products and upgrades until we feel they’re ready.

v3.0 firmware is almost done, and within a few weeks we will post more information here and at our website, https://www.aja.com.

We appreciate your patience, and we hope you will be as pleased with v3.0 as we are!

    Best regards,

  • Hi Marco,

As you know, we work with multiple industry partners. In the case of Avid, we’ve been long standing partners; our AJA KONA technology has shipped with Avid DS systems for many years and we were thrilled to introduce support for Avid Media Composer v5.5 with our Io Express interface earlier this year.  The popularity of Media Composer and Io Express has exceeded our expectations, and we are looking forward to expanded collaboration with Avid in the near future.

    Thanks,

    Hi Kenyon and everyone,

We expect the new Ki Pro 2.0 firmware to be released very soon, hopefully as early as next week. As Jeremy and Gary mentioned, we are in final QA, and wish to release the most stable upgrade we can. Although we did say “summer”, our engineers and product managers feel releasing a stable product is our primary mission.

That being said, we certainly appreciate your patience as we work diligently to release the exciting new 2.0 features for the Ki Pro. As always, everyone at AJA wants our customers to be completely satisfied, which is what drives us each and every day!

Look for release information here on the Cow and at http://www.aja.com very soon!
