Funny! I thought well over 70% of americans had an extremely poor view of the tea party – radical extremists demanding a purity of view and hostile to compromise. Not that that goes for anyone in the FCPX crowd you understand – like say compromising on the fact that 4K is a boondoggle dreamt up by hardware manufacturers with a very dubious logic attached.

I mean, I guess there’s nothing wrong, per se, with making noises like a tea party activist on behalf of those currently executing professional work through FCPX. You’d have to think FCPX has quite a few moderates these days though.
herb just told you he doesn’t see a reason to give a gigantic sod about 3D or 4K –
neither do I really – and I actually just cut together a pile of super-slomo Red 3D shot on wimbledon centre court. (I really just threw that in to name drop if I’m honest.)the UK has largely dumped 3D for broadcast and most people are on DSL for delivery. no one should realistically give a damn about 4K, given that pipe, for quite some time.

wait -this was in Larry jordan’s presentation right? this is one of the big six, its like a hundred million dollar production? all is about to be revealed at a hollywood big six studio all networks press conference as an “X- Learn it!” banner unfurls overhead just before the hans zimmer bhhhrammms blast through the speakers scattering the terrified editor morons who like a good tracked interface. In someone’s fantasy anyway.
I’m sorry – that’s bad. very much looking forward to the next X release – some pundits think its in the october end apple event as a nuclear tube hardware 4K demo.
do hope it is. one way or another this release is baking nearly a year?

when I say I know little about stereoscopic, I’m being generous – there’s actually a Pablo downstairs apparently, but the plan is for all this to be conformed and onlined stereoscopic elsewhere – no 3D monitor for me. I’m basically cutting 2D with the left eye red and de-interlaced 50i.
the push ins are dead slow creep-ins on 5-7 second long 200fps slomo 3D stuff? I think I’ll maybe keep them in and the guys at the other place can break the news if they don’t work…
ta for the dashwood tools link – if I ever get a clue about 3D that looks quite handy.

nothing like working friday evening – yep. I like it a lot. I’ve had plays in the CC version. it feels extremely nice. the cc timeline feels lovely. That’s the timeline I’d want to edit in really.
also – for anyone at all mograph shortform combo inclined coming from legend – its hard now to see any other edit system realistically.
