OK, I understand. I found out that pressing 0 (not .) on the numpad actually gave me a true RAM preview, which I wasnt getting earlier. However it takes a while to load, which is very inconvenient when Im trying to synchronize animations with audio.
Isnt there a way to have AE play audio as well when I hit spacebar (play)? Even at lower quality/resolution?

However the same thing happens with WAV files (although loading a RAM preview takes less time).
And another thing, the video clip has an audio track to it too, so even if I dont add another audio layer, I still only get either audio or video.

What is the correct way to preview?
