    Thanks Andy…..

I had a couple of problems with my website for a day or so but everything is up and running again…..

Getting plenty of hits but not any comments yet……

I’ll keep posting and see how it all goes…..

I’m still catching up to where we are in the process so lots of stuff to cover….including a detailed worklow and instruction document I wrote for the assistants and media wranglers that I will make available to all soon.

    Regards

    Hi Andy,

Good points and I like the idea of using an import project to bring in the clips, and then dragging them to a separate folder in the main footage project once the transfer is complete – nice organisational workflow. However as there will not be editing taking place during the shoot, I think we will just do the transfers in XDCAM Transfer as a stand alone – basically I feel that the simpler things are, with the less apps open, the less room for user error.

Just wondering if the Shotput Xpress software is a standard thing most people are using for archiving their BPAV footage during a shoot…?. Have users found it to be reliable and useful? I am designing a workflow and would like to decide on one method and stick with it for the shoot be able to make a final decision before we buy the software and the shoot begins.

    Hi Don,

I found the manual at the link you sent.

Thanks for the other info – I think we will use the Transfer Tool as a stand-alone – seems to streamline the process a little.
