  • I used to have problems with encoder, but for me the whole program would sometimes crash and to a blue screen (not always, just sometimes). I called adobe about it and they told me to test the ram. Sure enough, the ram test found a error. I replaced the ram and it started working fine… maybe this helps?

Thanks for your help Jeff! I had never opened up the computer before to see what was inside (It belongs to my boss). Sure enough, there was only a CPU fan and no case fan. I think it was what was causing the blue screens. As for the crashes, I found the answer for that as well! I talked on the phone with Adobe, and they suggested I update the graphics, audio, and cpu drivers. None of this worked. He also suggest that I download a program called memtest and test the RAM for errors. Sure enough, there was a memory error. We replaced the memory and now it works!

  • I have been having a similar problem. Every time I try to build my project, it crashes about 3/4ths into transcoding one of the files. It always seems to do it in the same place. I had to download a trial of some crappy program in order to meet my deadline. I’ve tried it using both exported dynamic link and exporting to AVI and then importing it as a timeline. Nothing Works! Adobe Media Player also crashes every time I try to export my projects. I’m going to try to contact Adobe tomorrow and see what they say.
