post1: They are on two seperate tracks, audio and voice
I have tried recording both audio and voice on the same track using audiocity and this always works. Its just Sony Vegas which makes it do the volume thing.

post2: Using wireless mics not sure of the brand… connected to wireless station which goes into front mic port on mixer. Then output from mixer into soundcard.. again unsure of the brand.
Then output from the computer into my amp.

Sorry not much help i thought it would be more of a software problem.
