Erm… thanks, but that was double dutch to me.

Just to clarify, the original clips were captured using the same tapes and the same camera as the new clips I am trying to replace them with. The new clips were captured using the same settings (DV-PAL).

Each tape has been captured to a different clip – 4 tapes = 4 clips. 1 of the clips reconnects successfully after adjusting the media start point with the modify timecode setting. The other new clips when captured have turned out to be longer in length that the old ones. However the actual footage stills plays at the same speed, there is just 4 secs or so of extra ‘nothing’ on the end.

The original clips were stored on an external HD that was not backed up and has subsequently been wiped clean.
