Under the “Extra” tab in the account settings there is an option to use your favorite forums as the default forum list:
https://secure.creativecow.net/account/edit
This should allow you to control the list. -
Hello Mark,
The controls to decide whether or not to use your favorite forums is in your settings under the “Extra” tab. You must have a few favorite forums to have the list be changed to only use your favorite forums. We are cleaning up the interface, so some controls have been simplified to their special places, such as in this case.

Yes, the less than character is a special character in Web pages and is used to write code. If you look at the note above the post boxes it says: “Note: The following are HTML characters and may cause parts of your post to disappear if not used correctly: < > &”. There was a fix done to the system today which may improve you receiving email. I had not found this issue before today, but wanted to give you this update in case this was the problem. Please let me know if you experience an improvement and the vanishing email issue goes away.

If you’re still seeing the same picture you may need to shift+refresh to update the brower’s cache.
