The Javascript doesn’t work in Safari – like a lot of javascript functions – and development of these functions specifically for Safari users hasn’t been a priority.

Could be the css code is formatted wrong, or that you have a:visited style that is taking precedence or something else in the css that is conflicting. What is the URL of the page and I’ll take a look.

I’ve had a bit of requests for things like this in the Dreamweaver forum so I went ahead and created a tutorial of how to achieve this effect in Dreamweaver CS3. If you have CS3 this tutorial will teach you how to do this.

“VISITED LINKS”
When the site was reconstructed into its new format the visited links were not converted to the orange for a time. We received complaints from people who wanted the orange links back. I personally don’t mind the orange. More on this subject a little later.

Good idea – I’ve changed this now.
“FORUM FORMAT”
There has been many people suggesting this but the problem is that people have been using our custom forum format for many years now. The COW tends to lean more to pleasing the faithful ones who have been here from the beginning and are use to the way the COW operates (visited links as well) than standardizing our system to the modern php forum format.

Probably the last forward slash. Depending on the server it may or may not interpret this as a folder and may or may not show you the folder contents if there is no index file.

Generally – the first thing the server will do when you put in this address is look for an index file in the folder. If one is there it will execute the index file. If not, based on the configuration, it will either give you a 404 or show you the folder contents.

Changing your content will – changing your host won’t – layout isn’t very important though it does matter.

Google placement is never guaranteed. If anyone tells you it is, they are trying to sell you something they can’t actually supply.
Google placement is a very complex algorithm and if you change content on a page radically it is definitely possible to lose your position.
The main factors in determining your position for specific keywords are – meta tags, page content, incoming links, and content on pages with links coming into your page.
